I guess ((q1,q2)\I) = ((q1,q2) cap Q). So we were basically saying the same thing.
Yet, could you please provide a proof?

By I do you mean ';Irrationals';? If so, we';re in the same page.
As a prove of card ((q1,q2)∩Q) = card Q we need only to show that
(q1,q2)∩Q has infinite elements. Which can be easily obtained by the density of rationals.
