Keyboard Backlight button.

ello, I have had my HP Envy-14 beats edition for about a year and my fan has stopped working. Therefore, I had decided to open it up and see what was wrong; I came to the conclusion of buying a new fan and replacing it. However, that is not the problem. After opening it, my HP Keyboard backlight button, Fn+f5 is no longer working. f5 works fine, but the keyboard backlight will not turn on. I';m afraid it';s because I opened up the laptop. I have Windows 7 64-bit OS, the product name is HPENVY 14 Notebook PC, the product number is XZ211UA#ABA. If anyone could help, that would be great. I';m starting school in a few weeks and I need my laptop to be up and running as soon as possible. Thank you.
